Dear Friends,

10 years ago the Orlando Russian Culture Society was only a few people with the simple idea of getting together and make new friends who also spoke Russian. A lot has changed since then, we grew, new organizations were formed such as the Russian-American Community Center, Russian schools were launched, and more people began to find a way to connect with the Russian community in Orlando.

As I look back at all that has been achieved, I know we need to once again gather together and build the bonds that make our community so positive.

I have learned that as groups grow, they tend shift into many small ones, making it harder to see how big the community really is. We have a business group, a community center group, and countless friends and family groups throughout our region. Wouldn’t it be great if we all came together once again?

That’s the idea of the 10 year anniversary event. A comprehensive gathering of all the groups to celebrate our fellowship and peace. This event will also include invitations to Russian churches, businesses and professionals.

This will be a pot luck, so please bring your favorite beverages and a side dish large enough to share with others. We will also have grills available for those who want to make Shashlik (hint).

The park features a lake for fishing, playgrounds, walking trails and much more. Remember to bring lawn chairs as the pavilions are often filled with food and have limited space.

Parking is around $4, everything else is free.

Please come and join us! Even if only for 30 minutes to see familiar faces and make new friends.
